    Crack Repair

Cracks can leave your masonry susceptible to water, dust, plant life, insects and other pests— causing damage to your home!

Masonry construction is both strong and durable, but can also be susceptible to cracking due to the forces acting upon it. Cracking can be caused by many different conditions, including post-construction settlement, excessive snow or wind, lack of proper water drainage, or poorly bonded masonry. Only an expert can determine the cause of cracking, and the proper technique to repair it. Craft Pro’s team of highly-trained professionals have extensive experience in masonry crack repair and are trained in all the latest techniques using state-of-the-art masonry supplies. With Craft Pro, you can trust that your masonry is repaired using the best and most suitable materials and approaches for your needs.

Bulges: Understanding Bulged or Bowed Structural Brick Walls: Collapse Hazards
Sketch, shows what happens when a brick structural wall becomes bulged. This is an extremely dangerous condition threatening sudden and catastrophic building collapse.
At BRICK FOUNDATION & WALL DEFECTS where we list types of brick wall and foundation defects, we illustrate cases of structural brick wall or foundation collapse.
Watch out: Any movement in a structural brick wall which risks having broken the bond courses in the wall, and any movement in a brick veneer wall which has broken or loosened the connections between the veneer to the underlying structure is potentially dangerous and risk collapsing masonry!

Problem: The walls had broken down due to age and allowed excessive amounts of water into the structure, and there was nothing in place to control the moisture problems.  The worse the water got, the more the wall “jacked” and cracked.

Solution: To reconstruct the walls that are bowed beyond repair, replace/repair the lintels above the smaller windows and doors and re-pointing the brick veneer, and repair the sills
